Guitar Corps provides Veterans with free guitars and free guitar lessons offered by our partners and donors. This initiative began a cooperative venture between Heroes’ Voices and Gryphon Stringed Instruments of Palo Alto, CA.
Shortly after Heroes’ Voices began its relationship with Gryphon Stringed Instruments, Larry Chung, a well respected performer and teacher in the San Francisco Bay Area, contacted us with an idea: he proposed we jointly establish a consortium of guitar teachers to provide free guitar lessons to veterans.
Heroes’ Voices regularly donates guitars to veterans thanks to the generosity of Gryphon and other partners and donors. We offer free instructional videos by Larry and others on our Guitar Lessons page to help anyone with a guitar learn to play it.
